Blockbuster to offer Streaming for Mobile Phones

Blockbuster announced that it will be offering an app to stream movies to mobile phones. This puts somewhat of a pressure on Netflix to follow suit. Is Blockbuster throwing the kitchen sink at the competition, or is it an attempt to knock them off their guard?
